The Excelsior Springs School Board was recently updated regarding the construction of the new Lewis Elementary School. Both Newkirk Novack Construction Partners and Incite Design Studio detailed their ideals about the project they are working diligently to complete for the 2025 school year.

The Excelsior Springs City Council recognized retired high school coach John Shepherd by designating Leavenworth Street as Honorary Coach John Shepherd Way. Furthermore, the council adopted a new ordinance regarding short-term rentals previously agreed upon between city staff and the Excelsior Springs Planning and Zoning Board.

The LAUGHH foundation, in partnership with Fence Stile Vineyards Winery and Distillery, will host a Murder Mystery Dinner and silent auction Saturday, Jan. 20, at 4 p.m.
