Four firefighters from the Excelsior Springs Fire Department (ESFD) bravely participated in the poignant Kansas City 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. Their noble act was a heartfelt tribute to the fallen firefighters of Sept.11, 2001, honoring their bravery and sacrifice.

An Excelsior Springs volunteer has been recognized by Excelsior Springs Good Samaritan Center and was featured in the group’s September newsletter. Carolyn Bisbee has been put in the volunteer spotlight for dedicating her time to the center.

A suspect believed to be involved in a drive-by shooting was apprehended by Kearney Police, with the collaboration and support of the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Platte County Sheriff’s Office and Riverside Police Department.

In honor of National Good Neighbor Day, the City of Excelsior Springs is urging all residents to participate in a spirited competition to highlight the warm and friendly community atmosphere during Missouri’s Good Neighbor Week.
