EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Three Tigers have teamed up this summer to play for the 16-and-under Old School Ducks baseball club. Mason Danner, Micah Danner and Colson Moore, who completed high school baseball for Excelsior Springs in May, will play for the Ducks through the end of the summer.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Volleyball and softball programs have experienced an action-packed June in Excelsior Springs. Varsity volleyball coach Kathryn Beile and varsity softball coach Megan Rawie have had their respective teams prepping for the fall season.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Tigers held their end-of-season banquet for varsity baseball just before one end-ofseason honor was announced: Lucas Dillman’s all-state selection. The sophomore first baseman and pitcher was a first-team, Class 4 all state selection by the Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Damon Ashworth might add to his wrestling medals collection over the next few years. Ashworth, who graduated in May from Excelsior Springs High School, recently signed a letter of intent to continue his education and wrestling career at Minnesota West Community and Technical College in Worthington.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Varsity baseball season officially ended for the Tigers Monday. That night, coach Aaron Holst recognized his players during the baseball program’s annual banquet.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – For Excelsior Springs’ student-athletes, the 2021-2022 school year has begun. Or rather, the 2021-2022 sports seasons have.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Tigers formally ended their varsity girls soccer season last week with their team banquet. The Tigers were 3-15, notching wins over Savannah, Cameron and Benton.

ODESSA – Excelsior Springs’ track and field season is over. The season ended May 22, when no Tigers placed among the top four in their events at the Class 4 Sectional 4 meet at Odessa.

KANSAS CITY – Excelsior Springs secured nine spots at Class 4 sectional track and field competition Saturday at Odessa. The Tigers took top-four finishes May 15 at the Class 4 District 8 meet, hosted by Winnetonka at Staley High School.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – A May 1 visit to Summit Lanes in Lee’s Summit ended in a third-place finish for ES1, one of Excelsior Springs Club Bowling’s two teams. ES1 opened the tournament with a 210-168 loss to Fort Osage.
