Reflecting on the first round of this year’s NFL draft, I take back everything negative I have ever said, written and/ or thought about the annual Academy Awards telecasts.

Maybe Patrick Mahomes II has caused me to mellow.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Senior student-athletes statewide have held out hopes that their final spring season of eligibility might be saved.

RICHMOND – The Missouri State High School Activities Association has limited what local prep sports coaches and athletes, including in Excelsior Springs and Richmond, can do while the spring sports season hangs in limbo.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – With the coronavirus taking the field, there is no certainty there will be a Tiger baseball season. Still, plans have been made.

NEW YORK CITY – Because of the coronavirus pandemic, baseball fans in Ray County obviously cannot take in a Kansas City Royals game at Kauffman Stadium or a St. Louis Cardinals game at Busch Stadium.
