Another Excelsior Springs softballer is taking her game beyond high school.

Senior Daelyn Williams has signed to continue her athletic career and education at Metropolitan Community College-Maple Woods in Kansas City.

Other schools Williams considered included North Central Missouri College in Trenton. She chose MCCMaple Woods because she could live at home and have a short commute, she said.

The Excelsior Springs Community Center Advisory Board has a new member. The Excelsior Springs City Council approved the appointment of Gregory Broadbent to serve on the board through Sept.
