Olen Eugene Griffel, born September 30, 1925, formerly of Higginsville and Excelsior Springs, died July 16, 2021, at the age of 95, in Braymer, MO. He will be buried in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery. Condolences may be left for the family at www.kaiserwiegersfuneralhome.com 

Born Feb 15, 1937, died July 17th, 2021. Larry was born in Coffeyville, Kansas. He retired from the air force after serving 22 years. He leaves his wife, Mary Joyce Owens; son, Randy Dean Owens; two grandchildren, Dominique Moon and her son, Anakin, and Brandon Owen, his wife, Angie, and daughter, Nova. A memorial service will be held later, no date set yet. Freddie Junior Vanderpool passed away July 13, 2021, at his home. 
Freddie was born December 17,1942, in Liberty, MO to Fred and Marie 
(Woods) Vanderpool.  Freddie was raised in Excelsior Springs, graduating from Excelsior 
Springs High School in 1960.  He served in the US Army National Guard from 1964 – 1973 as a dog handler at NIKE bases in Lawson, MO and Franklin Lakes, NJ. 

On Monday, Dec. 7, 2020, Arthur R. “Pete” Hartman, 79, passed away at his home in Excelsior Springs.   
Services will be July 21, 2021, at 10 a.m., at Higginsville Veterans Cemetery.
