EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Excelsior Springs Substance Abuse Free Environments, or SAFE, Coalition seeks Community Champion Award nominees. The SAFE program is designed to educate the community about the importance of 40 developmental assets in a child’s experience to assure the child thrives throughout life.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – A new subdivision is in the works. Known as Clacton Estates, the single-family subdivision will be built near Kearney and Wornall roads; west of Cornerstone Elementary School, now under construction; and east of the Stone Crossing and Cherry Hills subdivisions, minutes from the Planning and Zoning Commission’s Dec.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – John Ruddy praised the Excelsior Springs School District for the Alternative Methods of Instruction-Extended, or AMI-X, plan to teach students during the coronavirus pandemic. Ruddy is one of two Department of Elementary and Secondary Education state supervisors of instruction serving Region B.

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Service urges people to visit IRS.gov for current information on the second round of Economic Impact Payments. The Treasury Department began issuing a second round of Economic Impact Payments, often referred to as stimulus payments, in late December.
