Things to remember when feeling down

Body
One can feel so small when looked at through the eyes of the universe. We are teeny-tiny little specs in a galaxy of planets, stars and the unknown. It’s easy to take things and actions for granted and to see things in black and white.

How did they survive?

Body
Everyone has had heard the daunting “back in my day” speech that every grandparent has told from generation to generation, letting us know that things were done differently before our time. In all reality, each parent and grandparent who have mouthed those words are only telling the truth.

DO JUST ONE THING

Body
Do you eat romaine lettuce at home? Most of us cut the bottom core off when we’re preparing a salad, but did you know that core can actually regenerate into a whole new head of lettuce? Simply soak it in water, and in a few days, you’ll see new leaves start to grow. Plant it outside in the garden or in a pot, and in just a few weeks, you’ll have a free harvest of new romaine lettuce to collect. Tutorials and tips can be found online.

Whether it be through social media platforms or in the workplace, we all know someone somewhere who is determined to achieve a status of praise and appreciation.

Let warm relationships kindle your happiness

Body
Can true happiness only happen when you are with others? Happiness is defined as contentment, but most tend to think of happiness as intense joy or hard belly laughs. Can you be happy or joyful alone? I would argue you can feel it or recall the feeling but not to the true extent you could feel it with others. There are more nuanced angles to be argued but for the sake of the column, I won’t go through all of them.

It’s all about mindset

Body
Throughout summer college courses, I’ve has been challenged to think about the entrepreneurial mindset and how someone can utilize that mindset in everyday life. One thing that stands out when going through different entrepreneurial case and textbook assignments is that most entrepreneurs’ mindsets before becoming successful rely on action over planning, innovation, creativity and overcoming challenges.

Let me confess

Body
Confessions are always fun to share, whether they are big or small. You may confess your feelings to a friend and it may end well or maybe not so much. You may confess to your mom that her pork chops were gross, in your opinion. Whatever the confession is, it can be difficult to tell. I have a confession to tell you all, obviously. In fact, I have multiple confessions so listen up or put reading glasses on.
