Body Pastor Robert “Brother Bob” Horton, 87, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 28, 2021. Bob was born on Feb. 11, 1934, in Camden, Tenn., the son of Robert Lindell Horton and Vera Janet Pierce. He grew up in a family with seven brothers and two sisters.

Body The Excelsior Springs Downtown area was under water Friday morning, June 25, 2021. After overnight thunderstorms saturated the area, many downtown streets, parking lots and businesses were caught in the flash flooding.

Mo. auditor gives ‘good’ rating to Clay County sheriff

Body EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Clay County will continue to collect property taxes for Excelsior Springs. Earlier this month, the City Council approved an ordinance to give Mayor Sharon Powell the go-ahead to implement a new county-city tax collection agreement.
