Missouri elder abuse hotline hours change

Body JEFFERSON CITY – To better serve those needing to report concerns of abuse, neglect and exploitation of elderly and disabled Missourians, the Department of Health and Senior Services’ Adult Abuse and Neglect Hotline has revised its operating hours to 7 a.m.-8 p.m.

ESFA returns to the gridiron with four youth teams

Body EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Youth football is underway again in town. The Excelsior Springs Football Association is fielding four teams this season – a combination of second- and third-graders, a fourth-grade team, a fifthgrade team and a sixth-grade team.

Softballers go 2-3 while battling heat in Cameron

Body CAMERON – The Tigers had to fight the elements when they played in the season-opening Cameron Softball Tournament, Excelsior Springs varsity coach Megan Rawie acknowledged. “This weekend definitely tested us with being in the heat for six-plus hours each day,” Rawie said.
