MoDOT works on U.S. 169

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Missouri Department of Transportation will start pavement repairs on U.S. 169, north and south, between Route KK and 200th Street at the Clinton County line from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday until April 29.

Leaders ‘press pause’ on pit bull repeal

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – City leaders want to refine Excelsior Springs’ rules governing dangerous dogs before possibly repealing a decades-old pit bull ban. An ordinance repealing the ban was on the agenda for Monday night’s City Council meeting at the Hall of Waters.
PIT BULLS can be friendly, but as anyone who has been attacked by one will attest, pit bulls can horribly scar or even kill the people they attack

Tigers above .500 in girls soccer

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Tigers are above .500 again in varsity girls soccer. Tuesday’s 4-1 road win over Warrensburg put Excelsior Springs at 3-2 entering the Excelsior Springs Tournament, slated to begin Saturday.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The first week of varsity boys tennis left Excelsior Springs looking to reach .500. The local netters went 1-2, falling 7-2 March 29 to visiting Lafayette County of Higginsville and 9-0 March 30 at Warrensburg before sweeping visiting Clinton 9-0 March 31.

Edwards paces Tigers at tournament and triangular

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Senior Ethan Edwards led Excelsior Springs on the links last week. Edwards was the varsity boys golf team’s top finisher at both the Winnetonka Tournament, held March 29 at the Hodge Park Golf Course in Kansas City; and in a March 30 triangular, hosted by the Tigers.

ES baseballers go 4-1 in homestand
