ES girls end title drought

A long drought for Excelsior Springs in varsity girls basketball is over. By holding off Richmond 48-45 March 8 at Excelsior Springs, the Tigers won the Class 4 District 15 title – the program’s first district crown since 2007.

Vehicle trouble kindles longing for train travel

to PRO High heat, drop kicks, random observations and points that amuse are all part of the wide, wide world of sports at the community and national levels. The Greater Kansas City area needs more affordable mass transportation options, especially in its smaller towns and counties.
