After more than four years, a case involving a stolen vehicle and burglary in Ray County has led to the arrest of an Excelsior Springs man. Ryan D.

Through a series of proclamations, Excelsior Springs city leaders turned the spotlight on community impact, recognizing the people and efforts that help define the city. The proclamations included recognition of Teacher Appreciation Week, National Nurses Week, National Hospital Week, Older Americans Month, National Preservation Month, Missouri Local Government Week and Building Safety Month.

WINNING BIG Excelsior Springs is romping past its opponents on its latest varsity baseball winning streak. The baseballers had won four straight entering Wednesday’s road meeting with Smithville, outscoring their opponents 44-3 during that stretch.

What started as a simple effort to bring people together has grown into a spring tradition drawing hundreds to a local church’s annual community event. Crescent Lake Christian Center recently hosted its fifth annual Family Fun Day, welcoming just over 400 people for a free afternoon of inflatables, games, food and community connection.
