EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – School districts in Missouri will lose much-needed funding if the General Assembly does not act quickly, Superintendent Travis Hux warned when the Board of Education convened Feb. 14 at the Support Services Center.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Life Line Screening will be in the area to screen residents for cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, diabetes and other chronic, serious conditions. Screenings, some costing $159, will take place April 5 at Flack Memorial Christian Union Church, 1300 Tracy Ave., Excelsior Springs.

COLUMBIA – Two Excelsior Springs wrestlers narrowly missed the medal round at the state girls wrestling tournament. Senior Jacey Brewer and Junior Vada Burton each went 2-2 and fell in the bubble round at the double-elimination tournament, held Feb.
