At the latest city council meeting, Planning Consultant Doug Hermes presented a consideration for an ordinance to rezone 1112 Tracy Avenue from a C-3 service business district to an R-4 medium-density residential district.

Jacob Schmidt nearly brought home a medal from the Class 4 state boys golf tournament. Schmidt, who graduated May 10 from Excelsior Springs High School, finished in a three-way tie for 17th out of a field of 90-plus golfers at the May 13-14 tournament at Dalhousie Golf Club in Cape Girardeau.
