Fire department adds safety focus to MVP

The Excelsior Springs Fire Department (ESFD) is joining the Meals and a Visit Program to support homebound residents by adding a focus on home safety and prevention. The Meals and a Visit Program (MVP) is run through the Excelsior Springs Parks, Recreation and Community Center and supports homebound residents through home-delivered meals and regular visits.

The lawsuit stems from competing annexation efforts approved by voters in Excelsior Springs and Mosby during the November 2025 election.

The programs work with youth and families across Clay County through both court-connected cases and voluntary requests for support.
