U.S. Rep. Sam Graves, R-Mo., announced he secured funding for several bridge and interchange projects in northwest Missouri through the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2026, H.R. 7148, which was signed into law by President Donald Trump on Feb. 3.

The afternoon of Feb. 7, Gaige Carr did something he’ll probably remember for years or decades after he graduates this spring from Excelsior Springs: He won his 100th career high school boys wrestling match.

SHARE OF THE TITLE Indirectly, Excelsior Springs can claim a share of Seattle’s latest Super Bowl title. As multiple media outlets recently reported, the Seahawks’ coaching staff includes Mack Brown, a metro area native who played college football at Baker University and coaches Seattle’s tight ends.
