Casler, McCant, Rogers finish prep careers on podium

Marquez McCant, Josie Casler and Kinley Rogers each finished their high school high school track and field careers at Excelsior Springs on the awards podium at state competition. McCant placed third in the boys long jump by leaping 6.75 meters at the Class 4 meet, held May 29-30 in Jefferson City.

School was in session last week for the Excelsior Springs high schoolers who attended team camp at Tiger Stadium, according to varsity coach Jake Danneman. Danneman and his staff were “really just kind of teachers” as they led the Tigers through their offensive and defensive paces, he said May 28.

Massage therapist granted bond changes amid sexual assault case

A Clay County massage therapist charged in connection with a sexual assault investigation has been granted modifications to several of her bond conditions. Tong Fu, 55, of Kansas City, has been charged with second-degree sodomy in connection with an alleged incident at a Liberty massage business, Meidi Massage.

Clay County unveils Ten Most Wanted

A new Clay County initiative is seeking the public’s help in locating individuals facing serious criminal charges who remain at large. The Ten Most Wanted program is a collaborative effort between the Clay County Prosecutor’s Office, Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Missouri State Highway Patrol, other local law enforcement agencies and Greater Kansas City Crime Stoppers.
