City OKs recommendations for work at Clacton Estates
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Some Clacton Estates work passed city muster.
The City Council agreed Nov. 1 to Public Works Director Chad Birdsong’s call to accept subdivision improvements, except “those improvements related to storm water conveyance and detention.”
“While the storm sewer conveyance system is in, the detention basin and BMP’s (best management practices) are currently being modified to a wet pond instead of a dry basin and will be inspected and approved at a later time once all reviews and construction is complete,” Birdsong stated in an Oct. 27 memo.
The review process should take a few weeks, Birdsong said.
“If there’s any modifications on the plans, that’ll be done,” he told city leaders. “And then we’ll follow up with the review of … (them) also and be back with you for the acceptance of the storm detention.”
