ESPRCC opens Siloam Springs Park
The Excelsior Springs Parks and Recreation and Community Center (ESPRCC) has cut the ribbon to announce a new park in the city.Siloam Springs Park is a picturesque green space at 108 Temple Avenue. The establishment of this tranquil park is a testament to Earl McElwee’s vision and the enduring legacy he left for his children. Originally the owner of the land, McElwee entrusted this beautiful parcel to his children, who graciously bestowed it upon the City of Excelsior Springs.“His children, Paul McElwee, Kim Sanson and Brent McElwee, reached out to ESPRCC Director Nate Williams and said they wanted to go ahead and donate this land,” said ESPRCC Marketing and Event Coordinator Brennan Kimball.“They wanted there to be a park for the kids in that area because the city does not have a good park in that little area.
