National Domestic Violence Awareness Month
In recognition of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October, local law enforcement agencies are spreading crucial information and resources to enhance awareness and understanding regarding domestic violence within the community.The Clay County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) and Excelsior Springs Police Department (ESPD) are actively promoting the critical importance of increasing awareness and understanding of domestic violence. The departments are placing significant emphasis on the need to initiate crucial and in-depth conversations regarding the societal norms and attitudes that sustain and perpetuate abusive behaviors.
