Local man touched by kindness of Dari-B staff
Compassion helps people connect with others, mend relationships and move forward while fostering emotional intelligence and well-being. According to www.mindful.org, compassion takes empathy one step further because it harbors a desire for all people to be free from suffering and it’s imbued with a desire to help.
Compassion and kindness are exactly what was used to form a special relationship between Excelsior Springs resident Edwin (Ed) Weidler and several members of the Dari-B Drive-In staff.
Weidler said the relationship he and his wife, Deborah, formed with them was a unique one.
“After taking my wife to her many doctors’ appointments, I would always stop in with her and get her beloved Dari-B sangria. That was always the key to putting a smile on her face,” Ed explained, noting it was during these visits that he met staffers Drake Clevenger and Emily Crowley.
