Mission offers insight into White Sage project
Tucked between farmland and floodplain south of Orrick, a 55-acre energy storage project has sparked questions about risk, readiness and transparency in Ray County.After residents raised concerns about flooding, fire safety and lack of communication during a recent presentation before the Ray County Commission, Mission Clean Energy (Mission) is offering a deeper look at its proposed White Sage Energy Center and how the company plans to address those concerns.Residents noted they had not been notified about the project despite survey work being conducted and questioned the safety of lithium-ion battery systems near a flood-prone area.
