IN HONOR OF recently deceased former Excelsior Springs fire chief William “Bill” T. Stewert, the fire department and Excelsior Springs Police Department provided escort for the procession. The departments paid tribute to Stewart at graveside services at Masonic Cemetery. Stewert, who passed away March 11 at 84 years of age, served the community at the city fire department for nearly 47 years.

The Excelsior Springs Police Department reported the following arrests handled recently by the department. Tuesday, March 6 At 8:25 a.m., Jamie Rissell, 32, was arrested for failure to appear.
