Bobbie Dean Shelton went to be with the Lord at 11:08 p.m. on May 28, 2020. after a short stay in the hospital. He was 91.

Bobbie was born May 1, 1929, to Ellen (Johnson) and Clarence Shelton in Orrick, Missouri. He had two sisters, Thelma and Letha, and two brothers, Edwin and Earlwood. All of them preceded him in death.

On Sept. 10, 1962, Bobbie married the love of his life, Geneva (Cohoon) O’Dell, and resided in Excelsior Springs. The blended family included six boys and three girls: Mike, Russ, Terry, Tim, Tamra, Kevin, Robert, Ellen and Larissa.

The Sheltons had 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, with another on the way; and a great-great grandson, who is due in August 2020.

After retiring as a milk-man from Country Club Dairy, Bobbie went on to deliver parts for O’Reilly Auto Parts. Bobbie was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time with and laughing together with his family and many friends. He was always found in church on Sundays. He was committed to taking care of his family and thoroughly loved going for drives with his darling wife of nearly 58 years. A devout Christian, loving husband, father and grandfather, he will be missed greatly by his family and friends.
