George Sexton Taylor, 74, Village of Loch Lloyd, Missouri, died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021, from complications associated with Covid-19.

George was born Jan. 23, 1947, in Houston, TX to Jeff Sexton and Phyllis Taylor. He was later adopted by stepfather, Ferris Taylor. George grew up in Excelsior Springs, Missouri, and lived the life of a ‘free range kid’ as only a child of the 1950’s could truly experience. While in high school, he met the love of his life Tamara O’Dell.

George served four years in the US Air Force where he trained dogs for combat during the Vietnam War and was stationed in San Antonio, Texas and later in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he graduated cum laude from the University there. Most of his career was spent in the transportation industry.

George leaves behind his broken-hearted wife of 53 years, Tamara; daughter, Amy Lane (Joel); son, Bryan Taylor (Andrew); two grandsons, Bryce Berwald and Bronson Berwald (Brooke); and sister, Marybeth Singer.  

Private services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting contributions to favorite charities.
