Janet Delores Coble, 69, of Excelsior Springs, MO gained her wings on March 12th, 2022, lovingly surrounded by her family, after bravely battling cancer. She was born on September 9, 1952, in St. Joseph, MO to the late Elsie Lee and JD Coble. 

Janet never knew a stranger. She never cared about status, race, education, or wealth. She accepted everyone just as they were. She mirrored John 15:12-13 “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”  If we learned anything from Janet, it was to accept and love everyone for who they are. We will miss all the things she was known for, from her sense of humor to her green thumb and love of nature to her love for family to willingness to help anyone at any expense. She truly was a kind soul whose smile would light up a room. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elsie and JD Coble and her siblings, Donnie Coble, Peggy (Coble) Allen, Ronnie Coble, and Donita (Coble) Pounds. 

She is survived by two children, Scott Baker, of Excelsior Springs and Ronda (Chris) Edwards, of Excelsior Springs; seven grandchildren, Sierra Halsted, Lilly Baker, Violette Baker, Owen Edwards, Marlee Edwards, Paris Edwards, and Ella Edwards; sister, Ginger (Coble) Shanks, of Excelsior Springs; her beloved dog, Diesel, many nieces, nephews and friends. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Christ’s Fellowship Church
