JeanAnn Smith, age 58, passed away Jan. 22, 2026, at North Kansas City Hospital.

JeanAnn was born March 18, 1967, in Excelsior Springs to Ronald (Bud) Smith and Frances (Butler) Smith of Excelsior Springs. She attended the state school in Richmond, where she received her high school diploma.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Frances Smith; and sister, Jane Ann.

She leaves behind her brothers, Craig (Rhonda) Smith and Lenny (Gina) Smith; nephews, Eric (Neile) Smith, Aaron Smith (Amanda) and Grant (Kindy) Kessler; and six great-nieces and nephews, Lucas, Kaidence, Kynli, Sutton, Bodhi and Silas. She also leaves behind an amazing staff and friends where she lived.

Visitation was scheduled for 9-10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan.28, at Bross Spidle Funeral Home, 217 Broadway, Excelsior Springs. Funeral services and Mass were scheduled for 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church in Excelsior Springs.

Burial was to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Excelsior Springs.
