Jeremy Miles Courtney, 49, of Excelsior Springs passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 31st, 2021.  

Jeremy was born on November 24, 1971, to David and Juanita (Hodges) Courtney. He is survived by his parents; his wife of 25 years, Louise (Sams) Courtney; children, Tristin and Gabrielle (Courtney) Jeffers, Joel Courtney, and Isabella Courtney; and many other family members. 

Jeremy was preceded in death by his two brothers, J.M. and Jeff Courtney; and his grandparents, David and Ruth (Brown) Courtney, and Ike and Edith (LeClare) Hodges. 

Jeremy graduated from Excelsior Springs High School in 1990 and worked for FedEx Freight for over 25 years. He enjoyed watching his kids play sports, kayaking, and wrestling with his brothers in his free time. 

A celebration of life in memory of Jeremy will be held on Saturday, September 18 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Ventana Gourmet Grill (117 W Broadway St) in Excelsior Springs.
