Jimmy Wayne Henson was born to Bernice and Arie Henson on Aug. 5, 1951, in Excelsior Springs, MO.

He was a loving son, brother, father, husband, papa, and friend.

He was a Harley riding, ice cream loving, proud Marines Vet and the biggest jokester around. He truly loved making others laugh. He was a home body and a wonderful family man. He had a knowledge of so many things. He loved flowers and gardening and was a giver of beautiful gifts. He had a heart of gold. He was a jack of all trades and was an artist in every sense of the word. He could draw, paint, weld, build, create, and truly do anything he set his mind to. He loved to fish and spend time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Amy Henson; mother, Bernice Henson; brothers, Johnny, Jeff, and Jay Henson; children, Michelle Henson, Joe Henson, Jesse Henson, Josie Henson, and Katie Speiser; and grandchildren, Christian, Rhayne, Jaxon, Garrett, Hayden, Aurora, Carson and Liam.

He will forever be loved and missed.

A Celebration of Life with Military Honors will be held at the Lawson Assembly of God gymnasium on Friday, Dec. 10, 2021, from 1 – 4 p.m.
