John Crouch John Roth Crouch, 66, of Excelsior Springs passed away March 27, 2026, at his home.

John was born in September 1959 in North Kansas City to AJ and Joy Crouch.

He enjoyed 1970s classic rock, playing chess and watching football with his family. He was especially known for his humor, kindness, sentimentality and his joyful laughter.

John is survived by his children, Andrew Joseph Crouch (wife Yoanita Simanjuntak), Brian Jones, Jason Jones (wife Andrea Brito), Kachina Crisp and Knightson Crisp; and sister, Tam Smith.

He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Tim and Jamie Crouch.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the John Roth Crouch Memorial Fund. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home; 507 E. Main St.-P.O. Box 190; Richmond, MO 64085.

Cremation with services will be announced at a later date. Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond is in charge of the arrangements.
