Jon Lindsay Gardner of Excelsior Springs passed away on Oct. 15, 2021, at home surrounded by his family. 

He was born June 12, 1954, in Woodland, CA and was one of five children of Aaron and Alene (Gittings) Gardner.

Jon married his loving wife, Cindy, on Oct. 12, 1990, and they shared 31 years as husband and wife. Jon was a devoted husband, father, and an amazing papa.

He traveled to many places in his youth. He enjoyed science fiction books and college football. Most of all, he loved his family. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Alene (Gittings) Gardner; his sister, Robin (Gardner) Harris; and his brothers, Rick Gardner and Gray Gardner.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Gardner, and granddaughter, Hazel Gardner, both of the home; his sons, Shon Miles (Susan) and Lindsay Gardner (Angie); his daughter, Deanna Gardner; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Karlie and Laura; his sister, Tracy (Gardner) Pence; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
