Norene Vernon, 77, of Excelsior Springs, MO, passed away May 10, 2022, at Liberty Hospital.  

Mrs. Vernon was born Nov. 23, 1944, in Kansas City, MO. Dennis and Norene were married on Nov. 9, 1962. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Norris Groves; and mother, Nina (Hanks) Groves; sister, Katheryn Urie; and brother, Norris (Jeff) Groves. 

Survivors include her husband, Dennis Vernon; sons, Brian (Jacqueline) Vernon and Eric (Jennifer) Vernon; and four grandchildren. 

Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, with funeral services following at 12 p.m. at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Excelsior Springs.
