Randy Owens, 56, of Excelsior Springs, MO passed away June 29, 2022, from a car accident.

Mr. Owens was born Oct. 15, 1965, in Omaha, NE. Everyone described Randy as a one-of-a-kind guy. Randy was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and just being outside. Cars were his profession since his early teens when he started working in his uncle's shop. He was a self-taught man of many trades not limited to cooking, woodwork, and fabrication and auto body work.

He loved motorcycles, firearms and bow hunting, family outings, gathering with friends, and his dogs. If lifespans were measured in stories and talents, Randy outlived all of us.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Owens; and his son-in-law, Nick Moon.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Owens; daughter, Dominque Moon; son, Brandon Owens; daughter-in-law, Angela Owens; grandson, Anakin Moon; granddaughter, Nova Owens; and countless friends he claimed as family.

Visitation will be held 9:30-10:30 a.m. with service to follow on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs, MO.

In lieu of flowers, the family will be setting up a donation box to donate to the Missouri Department of Conservation to honor Randy's love of the outdoors and to preserve for future outdoorsmen. You may also send donations yourself in honor of Randy to Missouri Department of Conservations Donations, PO Box 180, Jefferson City, MO 65102-0180.
