Virginia May Graham, 62, a native and resident of Richmond, passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021, at Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond.

Virginia was born on Aug. 24, 1958, in Kansas City to Matthew Pigg and Lula June (Bradley) Pigg. She was united in marriage to William J. “Bill” Graham Jr. of Richmond on Feb. 15, 1974. He preceded her in death on Dec. 14, 2002.

Virginia is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Cravens of Richmond and Lisa (Jeff) Floyd of Camden; two brothers, Austin (Janie) Pigg of Rayville and William (Sylvia) Pigg of Kansas City; two sisters, Joyce Lackey of Richmond and Marcia (Jim) Farris of Hardin; six grandchildren, Matthew (Abryell Burkhart) Graham, Jacob (Kelsie Ramey) Sampson, Cassie (Jeremiah Johnson) Graham, Jason Floyd, Glenn Arnold and Kenneth Arnold; six great-grandchildren, Aidan, Ryan, Elena, William Graham, Austin and Ashlynne Sampson. She also is survived by many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Charles Ault; and sister, Trudy Halterman. Virginia resided and was educated in Richmond. She was a member of the First Church of God in Richmond. She worked for Price Candy and Ideal Industries.

Virginia loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her other family and friends. Her favorite shows to watch on television were Westerns. She loved to do arts and crafts, and her mom taught her how to crochet. She also loved to go fishing with her husband.

The family would like to thank Sherrill Ridge, who was Virginia’s home aide for seven years. She thought of her as her own daughter and the family thanks her very much for the care she gave their mother.

A visitation and memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 3, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will begin at noon, with memorial services to begin at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, celebrated by Rev. Jim Gilbow.
