Excelsior Springs has been stingy lately in varsity boys soccer.With Monday’s road win over Grandview, the local boys had posted three straight shutouts entering their Greater Kansas City Suburban Conference-Blue Division meeting Wednesday night with Winnetonka at Tiger Stadium. That string included two wins last week – an 8-0 Oct. 7 thumping of visiting Raytown South and a 5-0 Oct. 9 road victory over Kearney.Jake Zapata’s unassisted goal in the fourth minute started the scoring in the Blue Division win over Ray South. In the seventh minute, Zapata served fellow senior Kolin Kincaid a pass, which Kincaid finished.Junior Brady Schoonover’s unassisted goal made it 3-0 in the 16th minute. Zapata finished a penalty kick in the 17th minute.First-year high schooler Tyler Wartner knocked in an unassisted goal in the 20th minute.
