Building relationships draws Rogers to softball

For Kayden Rogers, her favorite part of high school softball is building relationships.“I have enjoyed the lasting relationships and seeing my teammates succeed at ESHS,” said Rogers, who’ll be a junior this fall at Excelsior Springs.Like many high school softball players, Rogers plays for a competitive club team during her prep offseason. She has been a member of the Cyclones, who are ending their run as a team.“I have been a career Cyclone, starting when I was 8 years old; but now, I am looking forward to the possibility of filling the role of pitcher for a new team in the spring,” she said.Rogers looks forward to pitching again when Excelsior Springs varsity softball resumes.
