Seven members of the Excelsior Springs High School cheer squad received All-American nominations during a camp featuring instructors certified by the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA), held July 11-13 at the high school. Mateya Figeuroa, Lily Hughes, Sydney Jarvis, Ayana Peterson and Haley Smith received nominations during their final high school cheer camp. Jaylenn Hudlemeyer, who’ll be a junior this fall, rebounded from an injury to perform her way to a nomination. Keelin Brewer, who’ll be a sophomore this fall, completed the group.
