WARRENSBURG – Two Excelsior Springs golfers made the Missouri River Valley Conference West team as they helped the Tigers place second in the MRVC West Tournament May 2 at Mules National Golf Course. Senior Ethan Edwards shot an 84 for the 18-hole round to place fifth and secure his third all-MRVC West honor. Jacob Schmidt shot a 92 to place ninth and claim his first all-MRVC West honor. In other results, senior Eli Smith and junior Ryan Gluhm each shot a 98, and junior JB Prestia shot a 108. The Tigers finished with a 372 to secure their runner-up finish. Pleasant Hill took the team title. RICHMOND INVITATIONAL Excelsior Springs’ performance at the tournament followed an April 29 appearance at the Richmond Invitational, where the Tigers shot a 390 and placed 11th among 20 complete teams.
