EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – It is postseason time for the Tigers in boys wrestling.

This weekend, the boys will host the Class 2 District 4 Tournament. The top four finishers in each weight class will qualify for state competition, slated for Feb. 17-19 at Mizzou Arena in Columbia.

Three wrestlers enter the postseason as returning state qualifiers: seniors Ayden Dolt and Landen Davis, and sophomore Micah Danner.

Dolt, last year’s Class 2 145-pound state champion, enters the tournament 39-1 and is ranked second in the state in Class 2 at 152. His only loss came to Aidan Hernandez of Francis Howell Central, a St. Louis metro area school. Hernandez is ranked second in Class 4.

Davis, the state runner-up last year at 126, is ranked second at 132. He enters districts 32-2. His two losses came to Park Hill’s Kody Ketchum, the fifthranked wrestler in Class 4; and Pleasant Hill’s Sam Ewing, the top-ranked wrestler in Class 2.

Danner, 24-9, looks to return to state after going 1-2 there his freshman season.
