ES boys start another winning streak
Excelsior Springs is on another winning streak this season in varsity boys soccer.With a win Monday over visiting Truman of Independence, the Tigers had won three straight entering Thursday’s road meeting with Smithville. They opened the season by winning four straight.The latest streak also included a 4-1 Sept. 23 road win over St. Pius X of Kansas City and a 6-0 thumping of Winnetonka Sept. 25 in Kansas City.“We had to challenge ourselves after the loss last week (to North Kansas City), and this group always accepts responsibility and moves forward,” coach Zac Ganzer said.Senior Kolin Kincaid powered Excelsior Springs past St. Pius with a hat trick, including the club’s first goal.
