ES boys win, girls third at Highway 92 Meet

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Tigers nabbed a team title and six event victories at the Highway 92 Meet, including five individual wins. “We had a great day overall, with 70 more personal records (set),” coach Jonah Albertson said. “We are definitely improving, and it is impressive that our times and distances have become better, considering the weather conditions.” The girls 3,200-meter relay team of seniors Lacey Miller, Jacey Brewer, Ava Ishmael and Macey Chaney won with a season-best time of 11 minutes 11.5 seconds. Junior Gavin Wilmes claimed the boys 110 high hurdles in a season-best 16.49 and the 300 intermediate hurdles in a season-best time of 43.75. Junior Braxton Moffett used a season best 3.2-meter pole vault to win that event. Sophomore Kolt Willis won the boys discus with a toss of 43.49.
