EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Local bowlers rolled their way to third place in mid-March, when the Excelsior Springs High School bowling club hosted a Show Me Bowling High School League competition at Tiger Bowl. Consisting of David Falconer, Olivia Smith, Cole Dickey, Brody Hurla, Joshua Oldham, Analese Selby, Brock Hurla and Quinlynn Davis, the squad bowled a 2,053 overall. Park Hill took home the traveling first-place trophy with a 2,249. Lee’s Summit High School finished with a 2,053. St. Joseph Central finished up with a 1,941 and Fort Osage of Independence rounded out the top five with a 1,941. There were 14 total teams from 12 schools. Excelsior Springs opened by rolling a 190, defeating Plattsburg’s No. 2 team.
