ES girls’ season, winning streak end with district loss to Chicks

On May 22, Excelsior Springs’ varsity girls soccer season ended, along with the program’s longest winning streak of the year.With their 8-0 loss to Pleasant Hill at Harrisonville in the Class 2 District 7 Tournament, the Tigers finished 2025 129. The 12 victories tied for third in school history for most wins in a season.Excelsior Springs has posted three 12win varsity girls soccer seasons since 2009, according to Missouri State High School Activities Association records. The program reached that total in 2010 and again in 2015.The school record for wins in a season is 15, set in 2011. Second on the list is the 14-win season of 2014.Losing to eventual district champion Pleasant Hill also snapped a five-game winning streak.
