LATHROP – Analese Happy gave herself an extra reason to feel grateful shortly before Thanksgiving.Wrestling Nov. 25 in the Lathrop Girls Turkey Break Tournament, the Excelsior Springs junior won the 115-pound division title. Happy capped her championship run by pinning Pleasant Hill’s Layla Palmer in 1 minute, 44 seconds.Palmer used a bridge move to try to prevent getting pinned. When an opponent counters with a bridge move, Happy can attack in a few ways, she said.“One way I can break her down is, I can get heavier on my chest,” Happy said. “Or I can settle back to be able to pin her.
