Excelsior Springs produced not one, not two, but three champions at last week’s Lafayette County Tournament. The April 17 competition at the Higginsville Golf & Country Club offered three formats – individual, best ball and scramble. Senior Jacob Schmidt won the individual competition, finishing his 18-hole, par-72 round with a 79 (+7). Senior Zeb McBee and junior Landon Biermann teamed up to win the best ball competition. The tournament preceded an April 18, nine-hole triangular with Harrisonville and Summit Christian Academy at Hoots Hollow at Country Creek Golf Club.
