The Excelsior Springs boys tennis program had two reasons to celebrate on May 1. First, the Tigers crushed visiting Ruskin 9-0 in Greater Kansas City Suburban Conference-Blue Division action. Then, they honored their seniors. “This has been a very special group of senior tennis players, and they finished off their home season in a great way,” coach Richie Marsh said. Seniors Carter Pitts and Colby Mueller helped Excelsior Springs claim the win by cruising to an 8-1 victory in No. 1 doubles.
