The Excelsior Springs Youth Wrestling Club racked up the medals at its own annual tournament.The local club produced 13 champions and 16 second-place finishers at the competition, held Sunday at Excelsior Springs High School. Excelsior Springs had 80 total wrestlers participate. Overall, the tournament featured 280 wrestlers.Champions included Bradley Manley, Ruby Welch and Reed Engbroten. Manley went 3-0 to win the 6-and-under 60-pound division. Welch went 2-0 to win the girls 6-and-under 50-55 division. Engbroten went 4-0 to take the 55-pound title in the 8-and-under group.Other champions included James Catron, who went 3-0 to win his weight class in the 8-and-under age range.Timothy Eldridge also was an 8-andunder champion, going 2-0 in the 115120 division.
