each went the distance in securing second-place finishes for Excelsior Springs at the Tussle for the Tiara Dec. 6 at North Kansas City High School.Goetz wrestled three periods in her match with Raytown’s Ulalia Butler for the 120-pound division title. She led Butler 3-2 after one period. Butler, however, went up 4-3 by scoring a second-period reversal, then edged Goetz 3-2 the final period for a 7-5 decision.Ray went 6 minutes in her title match with Lebanon’s Natalee Joiner at 145. Like Goetz, Ray led 3-2 after one period.
