Golf team’s expectations run high

Excelsior Springs coach David Stalder and his Tigers have high expectations for this varsity boys golf season.“We expect to compete well throughout the year and build toward the conference and district tournaments and get multiple people to the state championship tournament this spring,” Stalder said.One reason for those expectations is the return of senior Landon Biermann. Biermann, who recently signed to play at North Central Missouri College, is a two-time state qualifier. He also was a conference champion his sophomore season and an all-conference selection his junior season.Joining Biermann is fellow senior Tayvion Kennedy.“Landon and Tayvion have shown great leadership and work ethic this spring,” Stalder said.Other potential contributors include junior Jameson Bright; and sophomores Logan Green, Lane Overholtzer and Landon Cramer....
